Your data and choices

Local Market Atlas collects limited first-party data to operate optional trip sync and understand which public guides and tools are useful.

What is collected

A random visitor ID, a 30-minute activity session ID, page and module views, search and comparison actions, saves, address copies, route views, broad device group, referrer domain and campaign parameters when present. If you choose email sign-in, we store your normalized email, secure session records and the markets, routes and visited status you synchronize.

What is not collected

We do not use browser fingerprinting, store raw IP addresses, collect precise GPS location, send free-text feedback into analytics, collect payment details or process product transactions. Login codes and session tokens are stored only as secure hashes.

My Trip and account sync

Guest My Trip data stays on the current device. Optional email sign-in can synchronize saved markets, routes and visited status across devices. Your local copy is preserved if sync fails. You can log out, remove local items, or delete your account and synced trip from the Account page.

Visitor updates

You may submit a short market-status confirmation or correction. Submitted notes are kept private until reviewed. Do not include seller contacts, private locations, transaction details or personal information.

Retention and choices

Raw analytics are configured for up to 180 days. Account data remains until deletion. Expired login codes and sessions may be retained temporarily for security and operational review. Deleting an account removes its email and synced trip; aggregate de-identified analytics may remain. Do Not Track is respected by default, and visitor data is not sold.
